About

M. Beatriz García.
Character illustrator and colorist.
When people ask me what I do, I usually blink and just say "I draw".

I've loved drawings, illustrations, comics and cartoons since I was a kid, because they transported me to different places and communicated certains feelings to me. At some point I decided I wanted to be able to do that as well, so I started drawing. Not very seriously, mind you, but it eventually became what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.

When I graduated highschool, I was afraid that if I studied something related to art I'd be a starving artist, so, in hopes of having a more financially-stable future, I tried something different, starting with a semester of Design, followed the next year by one of Engineering and, after coming to terms with he fact that drawing was what made me the happiest, finally studied Illustration.

I'm a Chile-based freelance illustrator, and I've been working on commercial indie games on character concept art, illustration and digital coloring services since 2009. I'm currently taking a Videogame Design course, to hone, improve and put to good use all the skills I've gathered during my superior education.

Commissions

NOTICE: I'm currently taking only small/simple commissions. I'm not accepting VN/videogame projects for the time being due schedule constraints.

I love drawing for other people!
If you have an idea, a character you'd want to bring to life through an image, or if you have a project that requires a number of images, please feel free to contact me! I'm confident I'll do a job you'll be pleased with. I'm never afraid to walk the extra mile and work that extra bit to make my work the best it can be.

Feel free to email me to mbgarcial@ishtera.net for schedule availability. I'll be looking forward to discuss the details of your project with you!

Work
In addition to the private clients I've done individual commissions for, I've had the pleasure to work/be working for the following emergent indie developers and groups:
